Knowledge Base

This guide will explain what a Knowledge Base is and why it's a good idea to add one to your Assistant.


Knowledge Base in Kickcall AI

A Knowledge Base is a collection of documents that your Assistant can reference when answering questions.

By integrating a Knowledge Base, your Assistant can retrieve relevant information, improve accuracy, handle more complex queries, and tailor answers to your specific domain.

You can build your Knowledge Base by:

  1. By adding Q/A.-You can type in questions with their answers.

    Example:

    • Q: What is your return policy?

    • A: You can return items within 30 days with a receipt.

    Good for: FAQs, customer service, common questions

  2. By adding web URL-You can give links to websites. The Assistant will read and learn from those pages.

    Example: Add this link: https://www.example.com

    Good for: Product pages, help centers, blogs

  3. By uploading documents -You can upload different file types like:

    • Word documents (.docx)

    • Excel sheets (.xlsx or .csv)

    • PDFs

    • Text files (.txt or .md)

    • JSON or HTML files

    Good for: Manuals, reports, policies, guides

  4. By creating knowledge base folder structure-Organizing documents and Q/As into a folder or category structure enhances searchability and context understanding.


By adding Q/A

1.Click on knowledge and navigate to Q/A section.

  1. Click on import to upload the sheet which contain the Q/A or you can click on "Add New" to enter the Q/A manually.

Other option


By adding Web URL

  1. Navigate to "Web" tab.

  1. Click on "+Add" button to add the Pull content from an external webpage.

By adding Documents

1.Navigate to "Documents" tab.

  1. Click on +Add button documents

  1. Add "Name" and "Upload" the document.

  1. Click on "Create".

  1. Wait till the system extract all the data from the document.

  1. Once all the data is extracted from the document it will serve as a knowledge base for the agent.


By adding Business Knowledge.

1.Navigate to "Business Knowledge" tab.

  1. Click on "+ Add" button.

3.Enter Knowledge base name and click on create.

  1. Open the folder which has been created.

5.Click on "+Add source" button.

6.Connect the source from the following option

  • Web URL- To add any URL

  • Documents- To add files.

  • Blank- To add your own data set.
